Photoshop Elements Beginning for Librarians/Literacy staff/volunteers, Part 1

Learn to use Photoshop Elements, the standard for digital camera picture editing.Download photos from a digital camera, crop & straighten, correct red eye, heal areas of photos, use basic histograms, clone, & make simple color adjustments.Use the Organizer portal to help locate, manage, share and backup your photos.

Kathy Blick O’Donnell, a computer software trainer, will teach the class.  There is no prerequisite for this class.  Students need to enroll in both parts 1 & 2 or go on a paper waiting list with Melanie Price mprice@oltn.odl.state.ok.us. . 

If your library or literacy organization is >60 miles away from ODL, a travel stipend of up to $115/night for overnight stay may be available.  (Hotel Room Costs + $25 = up to $115 total.) Mileage also may be reimbursed at 30 cents/mile if you are paying for your own gas & cannot collect from your library/literacy organization.  Stipend contracts will be made out to the library/literacy organization and it will be your responsibility to collect your reimbursement from such organization.  No contracts will be written until the class has been attended and proof of overnight stay (if applicable) has been shown to the Office of Library Development.
